In this area you are spoilt for choice when it comes to cafes. Abbey Tea Rooms is the first cafe on your left after the Bolton Abbey roundabout as you head north. It is a reasonably priced, no frills place where the staff are always helpful.
Inside there is enough space for a decent sized group and around the back there is a terrace and small garden with plenty of space for bikes.
Our favourite time to visit this cafe is in the winter (when getting too far into the Dales can be risky), but don’t let this stop you going in the summer as the food is equally tasty then too. It’s a fantastically friendly cafe with a great reputation amongst locals in-the-know.
