The Bank View Café, better knows as the ‘Spotty Cafe’, is a family run business and has been a welcoming home for both on and off road cyclists for many years now.
They painted the cafe when the Tour de France passed by in 2014 and the photographs now hanging on the walls inside show memories of that great day. With spare inner tubes, cables, split links, cable ties and emergency tools the café is well equipped to deal with running repairs and the owners are more than happy to fill your bottles for you and loan you their track pump.
With regards to the food, the portions are generous and prices more than reasonable and having a large breakfast and lunch menu it makes it difficult to pick just one item!
Overall, a superb café close to some amazingly scenic roads, but beware if you arrive from the south over the Strines and you are going to need some extra gears!
