Bolster Moor Coffee Shop has grown out of the very successful farm shop next door as has it’s reputation for quality food and drinks.
A victim of it’s own success, the cafe can get very busy at peak times, but it is certainly worth the short wait for a table as the friendly staff will ensure you have your food and drinks in no time. You order at the counter, giving your table number and pay and everything is then brought to your table.
The food is of an excellent standard, from the full English breakfast to the impressivley large slices of cake. The café has won awards for its bacon butties and champion sausage sandwiches and you can see why as the menu is built from ingredients available in its farm shop, with the bread made in their in-store bakery. You can guarantee it’s all local!
To get to the cafe you can arrive from Slaithwaite, riding up Clough Road then Crimble Clough Road, or from Golcar, taking on Swallow Lane, Pike Law Road and Slaithwaite Gate. Which ever route you pick, you will have a bit of climbing to do!
Overall, the café is modern and bustling and is well worth a mid-ride stop, though try to make it either side of lunch to avoid the queues if you are looking for a quicker stop.
