Buffers Coffee Shop, situated in a 17th century farm building, was once a working dairy farm, and on certain days you will catch a glimpse of a few calves in the adjacent barns, while their mothers are out on the nearby hillside.
The cafe is tucked away up on the hillside overlooking the grounds of Bolton Abbey and is often used by locals as an alternative to the Cavendish Pavillion in the busy summer months. All food is homemade on the premises using neighbours fruit and veg and locally sourced baker items and meats.
In winter you may struggle for a radiator to dry your clothes, but with cheap refills offered on coffee you can always keep warm with an extra hot drink!
Overall, Buffers has a great range of sandwiches, snacks and cakes all at amazing prices. It’s a tricky one to find unless you are in the know, but that’s what we are here for!
N.B. also open Bank Holiday Mondays and Tuesday during the school holidays
