Renowned for it’s excellent coffee, Cafe Velo in Beverley is a great place to start and finish your ride out in the amazing Yorkshire Wolds.
The cafe has a great atmosphere on a weekend where cyclists can sit and admire the inspiring decorative memorabilia on the walls, from retro jerseys to TdF photos. In addition to the decor, the venue has an extensive food menu including daily specials and has loads of ‘light bite’ options perfect for cyclists on a mid ride stop (they also sell energy gels and smaller treats that can be taken away for your jersey pockets).
With storage inside for up to 15 bikes you will have no concerns about bike safety whilst relaxing and enjoying your coffee and if you are in a large group there is a huge basement available to use if you contact the team in advance.
Overall, Cafe Velo is a cyclists dream and whether you visit on the evening of the Beverley GP or a regular Sunday cub run the fast and efficient service will ensure you leave with a smile.
