The website of the Dales Bike Centre suggests it has the best possible facilities a cyclist could want, all in one place, and we certainly can’t disagree.
Started many years ago by Stuart and Brenda Price, the centre has a bike shop for spares and repairs, cycles to rent for the day, overnight B&B accommodation and a superb café all on the same site, meaning it really is your one stop shop for everything bike related in the northern dales.
The showstopper cakes on sale at the café are humongous and with great food and drink offers available it means that a stop off won’t break the bank. The café is also on the route of Stage 1 of the Tour de France 2014 and at c.120km in to the route it is a great place to visit if you are spending the day emulating the pros, Alternatively, if you are mountain goat, it’s the place to drive to if you want to tick over numerous top 100 climbs.
Soup’er Tuesday (soup, bread roll, slice of cake & hot drink): £6.00
