The Stables Café has a welcoming canteen feel which works well for big groups with hungry stomachs and limited budgets.
You get there by riding through the main gates to Lotherton Hall past the roaming deer and through the cobbled courtyard. You’ll find plenty of space inside and out, and lots of space to park your push iron.
The food here is simple but reliable. It’s probably not a stop to have a big lunch, but perfect for a pastry break or ice cream in the sun. It’s difficult to recommend a cake here because the offerings change so much – so just go with what you like the look of.
One of the main reasons The Stables features in Café Hero is because of its close association with the Spadgers ride which starts and finishes at Lotherton Hall every October. Spadgers is a phenomenally popular loop ride which is traditionally ridden at light speed. See you there!
