Zarina’s is one of our favorites! It’s located in the middle of Kettlewell towards the north end of the Wharfedale valley.
Inside there is seating for about 25 and a log burner for those mid-winter rides. In the summer there is seating outside at the front and at the back in a walled garden. The food is homemade, locally sourced, and prepared in an intimate open plan style kitchen. In terms of cycling specific facilities Zarina’s is about as good as it gets for a country café. There are bike stands, a pump, a tool kit, and gels on sale.
This is not the kind of café where you have to remind the owner not to empty your energy drink when refilling a bottle! Also don’t forget to pick up a yellow loyalty card which can be used to collect points or add credit.
In terms of riding, you are spoilt for choice – especially when it comes to hills. Park Rash (one of the toughest climbs in Yorkshire) is within bike throwing distance. It’s now for you to decide whether to tackle park rash before or after a stop at Zarina’s!
